A few minutes after a friendly woman took my order(katame), a steaming hot bowl of Iekei ramen arrived before me. Many Iekei shops have a funky, kind of stinky element to their soup but Izumiya’s does not. The flavor is refined and elegant, but doesn’t compromise the salty umami punch indicative of this classic blue-collar style. Paired with an obligatory bowl of rice at the end, the soup shined further and left me completely satisfied. めっちゃうまかったです‼
The soup is not too thick but tasty. Good portion as well. I will come back again
I enjoyed this small establishment. Ordering was done at the machine in the entrance and was straightforward. The staff was professional and courteous.
